JEWELS

I really LOVE The Pamela Love's jewels, all uneven jagged crytals and pentacles and mixed metals.I feel the collection as a whole is talismans fit for an ancient intergalactic war.Going to be dreaming about the gold cuffs, the simple cutout ring, and the earrings...simply unique!

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK (PART 1)

There's really nothing quite like New York Fashion Week—the shows, the scene, the scads of super-stylish attendees—it's a really happy time of the year for us. Sure, there are stressors (schedules, seat drama, snotty attitudes), but checking out the new collections is always a delight, especially when there are so many strong ones to enjoy!

I LOVE:

WHO: Alexa Chung
WHAT: Snapped backstage at the Christian Siriano F/W 11 show last Thursday.
WEAR: The television host/designer/stylesetter showed off an intriguing look, wearing a Deyrolle Pour Opening Ceremony maxi dress, Prada shoes, and Chanel bag. I adore the frock's bold fox print, which adds a touch of quirkiness to the whole ensemble, and the fact that Chung added bright red heels for a refreshing splash of color.

WHO: Kirsten Dunst
WHAT: Photographed front row at the Patrick Ervell F/W 11 show at Milk Studios on Saturday.
WEARHer Patrick Ervell button-up blouse and pants and bow-bedecked Isabel Marant heels instantly caught my eye because it's simple, yet totally chic. Additionally, I also appreciate that she gave her minimal mix a touch of color via red lipstick.

WHOJoanna Hillman
WHAT: Snapped around Lincoln Center on Saturday.
WEAR: Oh how I love Joanna Hillman's amazing style! Hillman layered a Michael Kors fur-lined jacket over a crisp white 3.1 Phillip Lim vest and Textile Elizabeth and James' Jimi Flare-Leg Jeans, demonstrating her ability to effortlessly blend winter and spring essentials to create the perfect between-seasons look.

WHO: Olivia Palermo
WHAT: Leaving the Peter Som F/W 11 show in the Meatpacking District on Sunday.
WEAR: There's so much to love about this winter ensemble Palermo put together, starting with the intriguing mix of plaid prints from her Roni wide-leg trousers and Peter Som tweed jacket. Additionally, I like the subtle pops of color throughout her look, like her Peter Som neon pink top, blue scarf, and green suede coat by Joseph. The whole outfit is thoughtfully constructed and visually stunning—fabulous!

WHOChloe Sevigny
WHAT: Spotted at the Imitation F/W 11 Presentation at Milk Studios on Sunday.
WEAR: Sevigny never fails to impress with her brand of downtown daring, and she captured my attention yet again with her Helmut Lang dress and the Darling Sunglasses from her spring collection for Opening Ceremony. Plus, I love the fact that the actress/designer broke up her all-noir ensemble with a richly textured coat by Proenza Schouler.

NEW YORK FASHION WEEK (PART 2)

Here are starring some of your favorite bold-face names like Erin Wasson (resplendent in Jenni Kayne maxi skirt), Julia Restoin-Roitfeld (smoldering in Faster by Mark Fast), and Vogue Paris' new editor-in-chief, Emmanuelle Alt (epitomizing French-girl chic in Isabel Marant). Whether they're pragmatically dressed or clad in party attire, these industry insiders and favorites are as inspiring as the shows themselves—sometimes, even more!—and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I LOVE:

WHO: Emmanuelle Alt
WHAT: Photographed at Theysken's Theory F/W 11 show on Monday.
WEAR: Everyone was buzzing about Emmanuelle Alt this NYFW, but I was only concerned with what the new editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris was wearing! Our favorite look? The incredibly cool and cozy mix of Isabel Marant pieces Alt wore to the shows on Monday, including a fur jacket from the designer's F/W 09 runway collection and a chunky-knit Etoile Isabel Marant sweater. C'est magnifique!

WHO: Erin Wasson
WHAT: Snapped hanging out in the Maybelline Lounge in Lincoln Center on Monday.
WEAR: As always, my style radar was on full alert for a noteworthy Erin Wasson-ensemble, and happily she didn't disappoint—not that she ever does, of course! Demonstrating her ability to blend new fashion favorites with amazing vintage finds, the model/stylist/designer wore a leopard-print Jenni Kayne maxi skirt with a thin white Zadig & Voltaire top, and then finished her look with a vintage burnt orange blazer and a wide-brimmed fedora. The resulting outfit is effortlessly cool—just as I'd expect from this style star.

WHO: Chanel Iman

WHAT: Celebrating Michael Kors at the designer's 30th Anniversary Party at Bemelmans Bar on Wednesday.
WEARthat's how you do old-Hollywood glamour! Styled in a bronze strapless dress from the designer's F/W 10 collection and a cocoa fox-fur jacket from the F/W 11 show, Iman looked like a silver-screen star and we applaud her timeless, fabulous picks!

WHO: Anna Dello Russo
WHAT: Photographed front row at the Narciso Rodriguez F/W 11 show on Tuesday.
WEAR: One of the things I like best about Vogue Japan's Editor-At-Large Anna Dello Russo is that she consistently pushes the envelope with her outrageous fashion choices. I'm always excited to see her over-the-top selections, like the Alan Journo hat—which is adorned with two very oversized gold cherries—she wore at one point during NYFW. That said, I also appreciate her tamer ensembles too, like the outfit she wore to Narciso Rodriguez's show. Dello Russo picked Look 35 from Alexander Wang's F/W 11 collection for that event, which is comprised of a slit-up-the-sides ribbed sweater and a slashed satin skirt.

WHO: Bee Shaffer
WHAT: Snapped at the Derek Lam F/W 11 show on Sunday.
WEAR: It's always sweet to see Bee Shaffer attending the shows with her mother—the one and only Anna Wintour—and I always appreciate her wardrobe selections. Shaffer typically goes for subtly chic pieces, like the shearling-accented Burberry ankle boots she wore to Derek Lam's most recent show. Styled with an equally understated double-breasted Burberry coat, Shaffer's look is the perfect mixture of elegance and attitude: very New York, indeed.

To sum up, what do you think about NYFW?  Who is your favorite?

Garden

It seems that flower gardens have inspired most fashion designers when it comes to the new spring summer 2011 fashion collections as flowers were almost everywhere. The spring 2011 floral prints look amazing and can come as a breath of fresh air especially after the cold season, making you look amazing, What else can exude femininity more than floral prints?
If you love feminine outfits don’t hesitate to select a floral print outfit, as regardless of the print, heavy or light, small or oversized you will look adorable!
